Great Dane

Although none in this breed hold any world records for size, Great Danes are some of the tallest dogs in the world. Great Danes were developed in Germany and are the national dog for that country. Unfortunately, Great Danes have a very short life expectancy. So if you're thinking of getting a Great Dane, be emotionally prepared and consider that you might have to part with your beloved Great Dane far too soon.

Nature:
A big but unthreatening dog, Great Danes are very od natured. Another obvious fact to think over before getting a Great Dane is their enormous size. Great Danes should actually live indoors with their human host families. The large size of a Great Dane does not make it tougher than other dogs, so Great Danes should not be kept outside. Owners should exercise their Great Danes regularly on hard ground.

Misinformation:
Great Danes are not from Denmark as the name suggests. As stated above, Great Danes are actually from Germany.
