Portuguese water dog
The name Portuguese water dog alone tells alot about the history of the dog. It was at one time a breed only found on the coastline of Portugal where the Portuguese water dog was used as a companion for sailers. And for that reason the Portuguese water dog remains a terrific swimmer to this day.
