Sable German Shepherd

The Sable German Shepherd is exactly like the classic black and ld German Shepherd. Sable is only a reference to the color of the coat. Other than the Sable German Shepherds, there are also some with completely black coats.

So when we call them Sable German Shepherds we are simply specifying the color of the dog's coat. One of the definitions of the word Sable according to the Merriam-Webster English dictionary is “a grayish yellowish brown”.
